Amsterdam/Dhahran, September 13, 2021 - Shell and AMG Recycling B.V., in partnership with the United Company for Industry, announced signing an MoU with Saudi Aramco to build a recycling "Supercenter" in the Kingdom.
Project Details:
• Location: Al-Jubail Industrial City
• Objective: Build a world-class metals reclamation and recycling complex
• Focus: Extract vanadium from oil refining products
• Production capacity: High-purity vanadium pentoxide production

NEOM, June 2, 2024 - NEOM Green Hydrogen project, valued at $8.4 billion, has achieved 80% construction completion across all sites, marking a major milestone in the Kingdoms clean energy ambitions.
Located in Oxagon, NEOM, the facility integrates a wind garden, solar farm, transmission grid, and hydrogen production plant — all powered by 4 GW of renewable energy.
Technical Details:
• Production capacity: 600 tonnes of green hydrogen daily
• Ammonia production: 1.2 million tonnes annually
• Emissions reduction: 5 million tonnes of CO2 annually
• Start of operations: End of 2026
• Partners: ACWA Power, Air Products, NEOM
Financing and Investment:
• Total investment: $8.4 billion
• Non-recourse financing: $6.1 billion from 23 banks and financial institutions
• Exclusive 30-year off-take agreement
This project is part of the Kingdoms strategy to become a global source of green hydrogen and support Vision 2030 objectives.
